ā€œIt is impossible, mendicants, it cannot happen for two wheel-turning monarchs to arise in the same solar system at the same time. ā€œAį¹­į¹­hānametaṁ, bhikkhave, anavakāso yaṁ ekissā lokadhātuyā dve rājāno cakkavattÄ« apubbaṁ acarimaṁ uppajjeyyuṁ. Netaṁ į¹­hānaṁ vijjati. But it is possible for just one wheel-turning monarch to arise in one solar system.ā€ ṬhānaƱca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ ekissā lokadhātuyā eko rājā cakkavattÄ« uppajjeyya. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatÄ«ā€ti.

ā€œIt is impossible, mendicants, it cannot happen for a woman to be a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha. ā€œAį¹­į¹­hānametaṁ, bhikkhave, anavakāso yaṁ itthÄ« arahaṁ assa sammāsambuddho. Netaṁ į¹­hānaṁ vijjati. But it is possible for a man to be a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha.ā€ ṬhānaƱca kho, etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ puriso arahaṁ assa sammāsambuddho. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatÄ«ā€ti.

ā€œIt is impossible, mendicants, it cannot happen for a woman to be a wheel-turning monarch. ā€œAį¹­į¹­hānametaṁ, bhikkhave, anavakāso yaṁ itthÄ« rājā assa cakkavattÄ«. Netaṁ į¹­hānaṁ vijjati. But it is possible for a man to be a wheel-turning monarch.ā€ ṬhānaƱca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ puriso rājā assa cakkavattÄ«. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatÄ«ā€ti.

ā€œIt is impossible, mendicants, it cannot happen for a woman to perform the role of Sakka, Māra, or the Divinity. ā€œAį¹­į¹­hānametaṁ, bhikkhave, anavakāso yaṁ itthÄ« sakkattaṁ kāreyya …pe… mārattaṁ kāreyya …pe… brahmattaṁ kāreyya. Netaṁ į¹­hānaṁ vijjati. But it is possible for a man to perform the role of Sakka, Māra, or the Divinity.ā€ ṬhānaƱca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ puriso sakkattaṁ kāreyya …pe… mārattaṁ kāreyya …pe… brahmattaṁ kāreyya. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatÄ«ā€ti.

ā€œIt is impossible, mendicants, it cannot happen for a likable, desirable, agreeable result to come from bad bodily conduct. ā€œAį¹­į¹­hānametaṁ, bhikkhave, anavakāso yaṁ kāyaduccaritassa iį¹­į¹­ho kanto manāpo vipāko nibbatteyya. Netaṁ į¹­hānaṁ vijjati. But it is possible for an unlikable, undesirable, disagreeable result to come from bad bodily conduct.ā€ ṬhānaƱca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ kāyaduccaritassa aniį¹­į¹­ho akanto amanāpo vipāko nibbatteyya. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatÄ«ā€ti.

ā€œIt is impossible, mendicants, it cannot happen for a likable, desirable, agreeable result to come from bad verbal … bad mental conduct. ā€œAį¹­į¹­hānametaṁ, bhikkhave, anavakāso yaṁ vacÄ«duccaritassa …pe… yaṁ manoduccaritassa iį¹­į¹­ho kanto manāpo vipāko nibbatteyya. Netaṁ į¹­hānaṁ vijjati. But it is possible for an unlikable, undesirable, disagreeable result to come from bad verbal … bad mental conduct.ā€ ṬhānaƱca kho etaṁ, bhikkhave, vijjati yaṁ manoduccaritassa aniį¹­į¹­ho akanto amanāpo vipāko nibbatteyya. Ṭhānametaṁ vijjatÄ«ā€ti.
