A Tangle Jaṭāsutta

“Tangled within, tangled without: “Antojaṭā bahijaṭā, these people are tangled in tangles. Jaṭāya jaṭitā pajā; I ask you this, Gotama: Taṁ taṁ gotama pucchāmi, who can untangle this tangle?” Ko imaṁ vijaṭaye jaṭan”ti.

“A wise person grounded in ethics, “Sīle patiṭṭhāya naro sapañño, developing the mind and wisdom, Cittaṁ paññañca bhāvayaṁ; a keen and alert mendicant—Ātāpī nipako bhikkhu, they can untangle this tangle. So imaṁ vijaṭaye jaṭaṁ.

Those in whom greed, hate, and ignorance Yesaṁ rāgo ca doso ca, have faded away; avijjā ca virājitā; the perfected ones with defilements ended—Khīṇāsavā arahanto, they have untangled the tangle. tesaṁ vijaṭitā jaṭā.

And where name and form Yattha nāmañca rūpañca, cease with nothing left over; asesaṁ uparujjhati; and impingement and perception of form: Paṭighaṁ rūpasaññā ca, it’s here that the tangle is cut.” etthesā chijjate jaṭā”ti.
