Rūparāgo, arūparāgo, māno, uddhaccaṁ, avijjā—These are the five higher fetters. imāni kho, bhikkhave, pañcuddhambhāgiyāni saṁyojanāni. The seven awakening factors should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these five higher fetters.
