Monastic Protection & Lineage
This section of our archive contains the precise legal codes and disciplinary rules (Vinaya Piṭaka) formulated by the Buddha solely for the governance of the ordained monastic Sangha. In keeping with traditional lineage customs and to ensure these texts are studied within their appropriate spiritual context, access to this material is mindfully reserved for ordained Buddhist monastics (Bhikkhus and Bhikkhunīs).
