Cannot Abhabbasutta

“Mendicants, without giving up ten things you can’t realize perfection. “Dasayime, bhikkhave, dhamme appahāya abhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ. What ten? Katame dasa? Greed, hate, delusion, anger, acrimony, disdain, contempt, jealousy, stinginess, and conceit. Rāgaṁ, dosaṁ, mohaṁ, kodhaṁ, upanāhaṁ, makkhaṁ, paḷāsaṁ, issaṁ, macchariyaṁ, mānaṁ—Without giving up these ten things you can’t realize perfection. ime kho, bhikkhave, dasa dhamme appahāya abhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ.

After giving up ten things you can realize perfection. Dasayime, bhikkhave, dhamme pahāya bhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ. What ten? Katame dasa? Greed, hate, delusion, anger, acrimony, disdain, contempt, jealousy, stinginess, and conceit. Rāgaṁ, dosaṁ, mohaṁ, kodhaṁ, upanāhaṁ, makkhaṁ, paḷāsaṁ, issaṁ, macchariyaṁ, mānaṁ—After giving up these ten things you can realize perfection.” ime kho, bhikkhave, dasa dhamme pahāya bhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātun”ti.

Kāmabhogī bhayaṁ diṭṭhi, vajjiyamāhituttiyā; Kokanudo āhuneyyo, thero upāli abhabboti.
