Perfection Arahattasutta

ā€œMendicants, without giving up six things you can’t realize perfection. ā€œCha, bhikkhave, dhamme appahāya abhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ. What six? Katame cha? Conceit, inferiority complex, superiority complex, overestimation, obstinacy, and groveling. Mānaṁ, omānaṁ, atimānaṁ, adhimānaṁ, thambhaṁ, atinipātaṁ. Without giving up these six qualities you can’t realize perfection. Ime kho, bhikkhave, cha dhamme appahāya abhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ.

After giving up six things you can realize perfection. Cha, bhikkhave, dhamme pahāya bhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātuṁ. What six? Katame cha? Conceit, inferiority complex, superiority complex, overestimation, obstinacy, and groveling. Mānaṁ, omānaṁ, atimānaṁ, adhimānaṁ, thambhaṁ, atinipātaṁ. After giving up these six things you can realize perfection.ā€ Ime kho, bhikkhave, cha dhamme pahāya bhabbo arahattaṁ sacchikātunā€ti.
