Perfection Arahattasutta
āMendicants, without giving up six things you canāt realize perfection. āCha, bhikkhave, dhamme appahÄya abhabbo arahattaį¹ sacchikÄtuį¹. What six? Katame cha? Conceit, inferiority complex, superiority complex, overestimation, obstinacy, and groveling. MÄnaį¹, omÄnaį¹, atimÄnaį¹, adhimÄnaį¹, thambhaį¹, atinipÄtaį¹. Without giving up these six qualities you canāt realize perfection. Ime kho, bhikkhave, cha dhamme appahÄya abhabbo arahattaį¹ sacchikÄtuį¹.
After giving up six things you can realize perfection. Cha, bhikkhave, dhamme pahÄya bhabbo arahattaį¹ sacchikÄtuį¹. What six? Katame cha?
