Untitled Discourse on Greed (2nd) ~

“Mendicants, for insight into greed, seven things should be developed. “Rāgassa, bhikkhave, abhiññāya satta dhammā bhāvetabbā. What seven? Katame satta? The perception of impermanence, the perception of not-self, the perception of ugliness, the perception of drawbacks, the perception of giving up, the perception of fading away, and the perception of cessation. Aniccasaññā, anattasaññā, asubhasaññā, ādīnavasaññā, pahānasaññā, virāgasaññā, nirodhasaññā—These seven things should be developed for insight into greed.” rāgassa, bhikkhave, abhiññāya ime satta dhammā bhāvetabbā”ti.
