Clothing and beds, Acchādanañca sayanaṁ, food and drink to enjoy: annaṁ pānañca bhojanaṁ; I provided them without let, Abbocchinnaṁ karitvāna, performing a great offering. mahādānaṁ pavattayiṁ.

Suppose a servant is looking Yathāpi sevako sāmiṁ, to get a raise from their boss, dhanahetumupāgato; they’d seek to fulfill their needs Kāyena vācā manasā, by body, speech, and mind. ārādhanīyamesati.

In that way in every life Tathevāhaṁ sabbabhave, I shall seek the wisdom born of awakening. pariyesissāmi bodhijaṁ; Having pleased beings with gifts, Dānena satte tappetvā, I wish for the supreme awakening.” icchāmi bodhimuttaman”ti.
