Craving Taṇhāsutta
At Sāvatthī. Sāvatthiyaṁ viharati.
“What do you think, Rāhula? “Taṁ kiṁ maññasi, rāhula, Is craving for sights permanent or impermanent?” rūpataṇhā niccā vā aniccā vā”ti?
“Impermanent, sir.” … “Aniccā, bhante” …
“… craving for sounds … “saddataṇhā …pe… craving for smells … gandhataṇhā … craving for tastes … rasataṇhā … craving for touches … phoṭṭhabbataṇhā … Is craving for ideas permanent or impermanent?” dhammataṇhā niccā vā aniccā vā”ti?
