With Nandivisāla Nandivisālasutta

Standing to one side, the godling Nandivisāla addressed the Buddha in verse: Ekamantaṁ ṭhito kho nandivisālo devaputto bhagavantaṁ gāthāya ajjhabhāsi:

ā€œFour are its wheels, and nine its doors; ā€œCatucakkaṁ navadvāraṁ, it’s stuffed full, bound with greed, puṇṇaṁ lobhena saṁyutaṁ; and born from a bog. Paį¹…kajātaṁ mahāvÄ«ra, Great hero, how will I keep going?ā€ kathaṁ yātrā bhavissatÄ«ā€ti.

ā€œHaving cut the strap and harnessā€”ā€œChetvā naddhiṁ varattaƱca, wicked desire and greed—icchālobhaƱca pāpakaṁ; and having plucked out craving, root and all: SamÅ«laṁ taṇhamabbuyha, that’s how you will keep going.ā€ evaṁ yātrā bhavissatÄ«ā€ti.
