At Sāvatthī. Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
“Mendicants, when a gentleman has gone forth out of faith, this is what’s in line with the teaching. “Saddhāpabbajitassa, bhikkhave, kulaputtassa ayamanudhammo hoti—They should live observing impermanence in form, yaṁ rūpe aniccānupassī vihareyya. feeling, Vedanāya … perception, saññāya … choices, saṅkhāresu … and consciousness. … viññāṇe aniccānupassī vihareyya …pe… They’re freed from suffering, I say.” ‘parimuccati dukkhasmā’ti vadāmī”ti.
Dvādasamaṁ.
