Origin Samudayasutta

At Sāvatthī. Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

ā€œMendicants, an unlearned ordinary person doesn’t truly understand the origin, the disappearance, the gratification, the drawback, and the escape when it comes to form, ā€œAssutavā, bhikkhave, puthujjano rÅ«passa samudayaƱca atthaį¹…gamaƱca assādaƱca ādÄ«navaƱca nissaraṇaƱca yathābhÅ«taṁ nappajānāti. feeling, Vedanāya … perception, saƱƱāya … choices, saį¹…khārānaṁ … and consciousness. viññāṇassa samudayaƱca atthaį¹…gamaƱca assādaƱca ādÄ«navaƱca nissaraṇaƱca yathābhÅ«taṁ nappajānāti. A learned noble disciple does truly understand the origin, the disappearance, the gratification, the drawback, and the escape when it comes to form, Sutavā ca kho, bhikkhave, ariyasāvako rÅ«passa samudayaƱca atthaį¹…gamaƱca assādaƱca ādÄ«navaƱca nissaraṇaƱca yathābhÅ«taṁ pajānāti. feeling, Vedanāya … perception, saƱƱāya … choices, saį¹…khārānaṁ … and consciousness.ā€ viññāṇassa samudayaƱca atthaį¹…gamaƱca assādaƱca ādÄ«navaƱca nissaraṇaƱca yathābhÅ«taṁ pajānātÄ«ā€ti.
