Feelings Vedanāsutta

ā€œMendicants, there are these three feelings: ā€œTisso imā, bhikkhave, vedanā. What three? Katamā tisso? Pleasant, painful, and neutral feeling. Sukhā vedanā, dukkhā vedanā, adukkhamasukhā vedanā—These are the three feelings. imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso vedanā.

The noble eightfold path should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these three feelings.ā€ Imāsaṁ kho, bhikkhave, tissannaṁ vedanānaṁ abhiƱƱāya pariƱƱāya parikkhayāya pahānāya …pe… ayaṁ ariyo aį¹į¹haį¹…giko maggo bhāvetabboā€ti.
