Yokes Yogasutta

ā€œMendicants, there are these four yokes. ā€œCattārome, bhikkhave, yogā. What four? Katame cattāro? The yokes of sensual pleasures, future lives, views, and ignorance. Kāmayogo, bhavayogo, diį¹­į¹­hiyogo avijjāyogo—These are the four yokes. ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro yogā.

The noble eightfold path should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these four yokes.ā€ Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, catunnaṁ yogānaṁ abhiƱƱāya pariƱƱāya parikkhayāya pahānāya …pe… ayaṁ ariyo aį¹­į¹­haį¹…giko maggo bhāvetabboā€ti.
