A Stream-Enterer Sotāpannasutta
“Mendicants, there are these six faculties. “Chayimāni, bhikkhave, indriyāni. What six? Katamāni cha? The faculties of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind. Cakkhundriyaṁ …pe… manindriyaṁ. A noble disciple comes to truly understand these six faculties’ origin, disappearance, gratification, drawback, and escape. Yato kho, bhikkhave, ariyasāvako imesaṁ channaṁ indriyānaṁ samudayañca atthaṅgamañca assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṁ pajānāti—Such a noble disciple is called a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, bound for awakening.” ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, ariyasāvako sotāpanno avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyaṇo”ti.
Chaṭṭhaṁ.
