The duty of one whose energy is strong; “Yaṁ kiccaṁ daḷhavīriyena, the duty of one who longs to wake up: yaṁ kiccaṁ boddhumicchatā; that I’ll do, I won’t fail—Karissaṁ nāvarajjhissaṁ, see my energy and vigor! passa vīriyaṁ parakkamaṁ.

Teach me the path, Tvañca me maggamakkhāhi, the direct route that culminates <j>in freedom from death. añjasaṁ amatogadhaṁ; I’ll know it with wisdom, Ahaṁ monena monissaṁ, as the Ganges knows the ocean. gaṅgāsotova sāgaran”ti.
