“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom. Cetovimutti ca paññāvimutti ca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Exertion, and not being scattered. Paggāho ca avikkhepo ca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Name and form. Nāmañca rūpañca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Knowledge and freedom. Vijjā ca vimutti ca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Views favoring existence and views favoring nonexistence. Bhavadiṭṭhi ca vibhavadiṭṭhi ca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Lack of conscience and prudence. Ahirikañca anottappañca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Conscience and prudence. Hirī ca ottappañca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Being hard to admonish and having bad friends. Dovacassatā ca pāpamittatā ca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Being easy to admonish and having good friends. Sovacassatā ca kalyāṇamittatā ca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Skill in the elements and skill in application of mind. Dhātukusalatā ca manasikārakusalatā ca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.

“There are, mendicants, these two things. “Dveme, bhikkhave, dhammā. What two? Katame dve? Skill in offenses and skill in resolving offenses. Āpattikusalatā ca āpattivuṭṭhānakusalatā ca. These are the two things.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve dhammā”ti.
