This was said by the Buddha, the Perfected One: that is what I heard. VuttaƱhetaį¹ bhagavatÄ vuttamarahatÄti me sutaį¹:
āMendicants, an individual with two qualities is raised up to heaven. āDvÄ«hi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato puggalo yathÄbhataį¹ nikkhitto evaį¹ sagge. What two? Katamehi dvÄ«hi? Excellent conduct and excellent view. Bhaddakena ca sÄ«lena, bhaddikÄya ca diį¹į¹hiyÄ. A individual with these two qualities is raised up to heaven.ā Imehi kho, bhikkhave, dvÄ«hi dhammehi samannÄgato puggalo yathÄbhataį¹ nikkhitto evaį¹ saggeāti.
