Jetaās Grove Jetavanasutta
āThis is indeed that Jetaās Grove, āIdaƱhi taį¹ jetavanaį¹, frequented by the Saį¹ gha of seers, isisaį¹ ghanisevitaį¹; where the King of Dhamma stayed: Ävutthaį¹ dhammarÄjena, it brings me joy! pÄ«tisaƱjananaį¹ mama.
Deeds, knowledge, and principle; Kammaį¹ vijjÄ ca dhammo ca, ethical conduct, an excellent livelihood; sÄ«laį¹ jÄ«vitamuttamaį¹; by these are mortals purified, Etena maccÄ sujjhanti, not by clan or wealth. na gottena dhanena vÄ.
Thatās why an astute person, TasmÄ hi paį¹įøito poso, seeing whatās good for themselves, sampassaį¹ atthamattano; would examine the teaching rationally, Yoniso vicine dhammaį¹, thatās how they become purified in that. evaį¹ tattha visujjhati.
SÄriputta is full of wisdom, SÄriputtova paƱƱÄya, ethics, and peace. sÄ«lena upasamena ca; Even a mendicant who has crossed over Yopi pÄraį¹ gato bhikkhu, might at best equal him.ā etÄvaparamo siyÄāti.
