I gave up the five hindrances “Pañca nīvaraṇe hitvā, for the sake of sanctuary from the yoke. yogakkhemassa pattiyā; I took Dhamma as a mirror Dhammādāsaṁ gahetvāna, for knowing and seeing myself. ñāṇadassanamattano.

I examined this body, Paccavekkhiṁ imaṁ kāyaṁ, all of it, inside and out. sabbaṁ santarabāhiraṁ; Internally and externally Ajjhattañca bahiddhā ca, my body appeared hollow. tuccho kāyo adissathā”ti.
